Both chlor-bridge anhydride and chlor-bridge acid are reactive flame retardants for unsaturated polyesters, polyurethanes and epoxy resins, and are also used as epoxy curing agents. The thermal deformation temperature of epoxy products cured by this product is about 180 degrees C, the resistance is good, and chloroqiaoic acid is also used as dye intermediate and insecticide. It is also used as a flame retardant for fabrics. Used as a reactive flame retardant for epoxy resins and polyurethanes
Production method
It is obtained by the reaction of HCBD with shunning. Mixing HCB with 1:1.1 molar ratio in solvent chlorobenzene, after a reaction of 7-8h at 140-145 degrees C, the reaction product is added to hydrolysis in water at 70 degrees C The hydrolytic chlor-bridge acid becomes an oily liquid, dissolved with water when heated to 96-97 degrees C, and cooled to become a chlorine bridge acid containing a crystalline water (Hetacid (115-28-6). If the reaction product is crystallized with hot water and dilute acetic acid, a hydrate is dried by 100-105 degrees C, i.e. chlorine bridge anchic acid
